Strengthening and retrofitting
"PLAISIO" COMPUTERS S.A. BRANCH STORE IN N. PSYCHICO, ATTIKI
The branch store was established on an existing two-strorey reinforced concrete building (former Social Security Organization branch office) in 5, Omirou str., that was built in the '50s. A statically dependent vertical communication hub (elevator and staircase core), a brand new third storey as well as a basement at part of the plan were added to the building. The analysis was carried out for the above proposed modified building. The upgraded structural system incorporates new shear walls and various other general or local strengthening solutions.
