ADDITION OF A NEW FLOOR AND STRENGTHENING OF AN EXISTING TWO-STOREY BUILDING WITH A BASEMENT
The project is situated on 4A Chersonos str., in the center of Athens. It features the addition of a composite floor (steel frames and composite roof). Strengthening of the existing two-storey superstructure with two- or single-sided sprayed concrete membranes on its load bearing solid brick walls. The analysis was performed on the three-storey model with basement, by modelling the walls of the lower levels with surface elements and the addition by linear - (steel) elemets. The curved composite roof was designed to behave as a rigid diaphragm.
