HYDROELECTRIC PLANT IN PALIOURI, IOANNINA
Hydroelectric station building and associated civil works: hydraulic bridge - sand-filtering unit - hydraulic tunnel inlet. Reinforced concrete building with steel roof. The foundation is appropriately shaped to support the electric power turbines. The hydraulic bridge has two 24.67m spans with an embankment between them and has a steel structural system. On one end it rests on concrete piers while on the other end it sits on one of the hydraulic bridge's inlets. The sand filtering unit is of reinforced concrete.
