Project' s Description

The project refers to the construction of a small hotel unit, situated in the region of Argostoli in Kefalonia island.

It contains a semi-basement, which covers the total area of the plot, a ground floor and two more superstructure storeys. The structural reinforced concrete system is composed of solid slabs, supported on strong beams. The latter frame on columns and shear walls in both directions.

A duo-pitched roof covers the second floor, as per local architectural requirements. Due to the close proximity with the sea, the water table is very high. Therefore, the foundation system and perimetric basement walls of have been designed as a completely waterproof raft.

For the excavation, a temporary diaphragm retaining wall has been constructed.
