CONVERSION OF A HISTORIC BUILDING INTO A BOUTIQUE HOTEL
Project's Description
Τhe project refers to a building listed as a Monument, which consists of a semi-basement ,ground floor ,first and second floor, with a total area 1,200 m2. Τhe vertical load bearing system is natural stone masonry, while the horizontal system consists of reinforced concrete slabs. The building has been constructed during the first quarter of the past century and is going to be restored and locally reinforced, in order to function as a boutique hotel. The project included the construction of a structurally independent extension at the back of the plot. The structural system of the latter has been designed to be structural steel with composite slabs. Finaly, it was decided by the client not to proceed with the above structurally independent addition and therefore it was not implemented
