National Archaeological Museum – Expansion and Upgrade

October, 2026

The final design studies for the expansion and upgrade of the National Archaeological Museum in Athens have been approved by the Central Council of Modern Monuments (KΣNM) and the Central Archaeological Council (ΚΑΣ), marking a significant step towards the realization of this landmark cultural project.

Helliniki Meletitiki S.A., in collaboration with wh-p Ingenieure, is responsible for the structural design of the new extension building, which will be constructed beneath the newly landscaped green space.

The project presents complex technical challenges, featuring a structural system that combines reinforced and prestressed concrete, precast elements, as well as composite and steel structures.

Our involvement focuses on addressing the complex structural requirements of the new building, drawing on our specialized expertise in structural engineering and design.

Inauguration of the New Skouries Mine in Halkidiki

October, 2026

On October 8, 2026, the official inauguration of the new Skouries copper and gold mine in Halkidiki took place, marking a significant milestone in the mining industry.

Helleniki Meletitiki contributed to the project through the structural design of various structures supporting mechanical and electrical (MEP) installations, contributing to the development of essential infrastructure for the mine's operation.

“NIKOS KOURKOULOS” Day Care Unit in Patras

September, 2026

Construction works are underway for the new “Nikos Kourkoulos” Day Care Unit at the University Hospital of Patras. Our firm is actively involved in this landmark project, having undertaken the structural design as well as the technical supervision of the works related to the structural system.

The project is being implemented through an exclusive donation for the design ,construction as well as for the equipment cost ,by Ms. Marianna Latsis and is being constructed by GEK TERNA Group. The design and construction of the structure we have undertaken has been fully implemented.

The new state-of-the-art unit is scheduled to be fully completed and ready for operation in February 2027.
